Summary:

Young lieutenant comes to a curate in his small cavern. It is on the front in first world war. The Curate at first thinks the lieutenant was sent there to execute him, but it turns out he came there to make a confession. The Lieutenant believes he is going to be sent to the front line, because he is the only witness of curate's attempted escape who is still alive.
